The Energy of Always

65 years ago, our first house in Mozambique opened its doors where we built our way from Rovuma to Maputo. Located in every province, with more than 70 filling stations, using the most modern technology with a great emphasis on functionality, comfort and safety, providing a quality experience to our customers.

We provide LPG with greater national coverage in the domestic and industrial segments. We are part of the consortium that operates Area 4 in the Rovuma LNG production project which we expect will create thousands of jobs (direct and indirect), with a positive impact on the country's economic growth.

We promote our transition from oil to a more sustainable energy model, always adapting to the reality of the communities in which we operate with our Foundation. We create cooperative and sharing relationships with government partners and local NGOs in the areas of education and access to clean energy.

We're together!

The entry into the country was marked by the signing of the farm-in contract with Eni and with the National Hydrocarbon Company (ENH) for the operation of Area 4, located in the Rovuma basin.

The approximately 85 tcf of gas in the field identified in Area 4 of the Rovuma basin make it one of the most relevant regions worldwide for future natural gas production.

Galp has been consolidating its presence in the country and is currently a leading player in the products it distributes, assuming notable leadership in the LPG market.

Investment in logistics facilities in strategic locations

Armazenamento

The improvement of logistics facilities in Mozambique is essential to support Galp's regional activities. One of the projects completed in 2021 was the construction of two new logistics bases for receiving, storing and shipping liquid fuels and LPG in Beira and Matola, Mozambique.

These projects doubled the existing storage capacity in the southern part of the country, helping to reduce supply costs and, at the same time, guarantee greater availability of domestic gas, which is essential to meet the growing demand.

In addition, Galp will be able to broaden its area of influence in this region of Africa, expanding its activities to neighbouring countries.
