Galp rewards quality of service at its filling stations under the Shine initiative | Galp Moçambique

Galp awarded two filling stations in the city of Maputo and one located in Xai-Xai for its performance in terms of quality of service provided to customers, under the new Shine Galp programme. This programme provides for the continuous evaluation of a series of parameters including safety rules, the cleaning and maintenance of filling stations, excellence in customer service, among others.

The Shine Galp initiative is also a continuous and intensive training programme for all employees at the centres with close monitoring of Environment, Quality and Safety matters and a focus on Galp customer service and satisfaction. Evaluations are carried out monthly in order to guarantee excellent standards of Galp service and raise safety standards at filling stations.

In this first evaluation quarter, the Resellers of the distinguished filling stations received a certificate and a performance bonus associated with the initiative. Of all the filling stations in the Galp network subject to monthly assessment, the first place was jointly awarded to the filling station of O&J Participation Management, Lda., located in Mahotas, in Maputo, the filling station of ZAP Zambézia Agro-Pecuária, Lda., in Xai-Xai, and the filling station of Capital Oil, Lda., located in Cumbeza II, in Maputo.

Galp Moçambique presented the prizes to the top finishers by the director general, Paulo Varela, the commercial director, Francisco Ferreira, the client manager, José Sousa, and the marketing manager, Cláudia Ngwenya, at a ceremony held at the facilities of the distinguished filling stations, in the presence of resellers and their teams.

“We recognize the effort that is being made by everyone to improve service, quality of service, safety and operational conditions in the network, working continuously with our partners, stakeholders and employees,” said Paulo Varela at the ceremony held at Mahotas filling station. “This award is extended to all employees at the office, who stand up for Galp every day doing a job we can be proud of,” he added.

The Resellers of the highest ranked filling station appreciated the distinction: “It was a great joy to receive the Shine Galp award just three years after the operation began, which is a sign of personal and business growth,” said José Machado. His wife, Ofélia Machado, explained the formula for success: “A lot of management effort and commitment on the part of our employees, who are the first line of communication with customers and are always ready to respond with a smile to the criticisms and suggestions they receive”.
